I have chosen to include many pictures of foilage in this gallery. For me the foilage is almost more important than the flower, since ths this is what you'll end up with most of the season in your rock garden after the often short and intensive flowering period of alpines are over.

A garden consisting of condensed buns of tight foilage in different varietys and shades of green is stunning throughout the whole growing season and often the whole year round.
